ABOUT

After four years of working in academia in Germany, and two years in Australia after COVID, I have returned to the UK and wish to find a UK-based position working in data analysis and cloud computing. Ultimately I wish to develop a career in Data Science and AI/ML. My technical strengths are in exploratory data analysis and data visualization using python. I am experienced at presenting complex data in a simple way to different level audiences, and communicating results in a clear and concise manner in written reports. I like writing, exercising and travelling.

Data Analyst Volunteer at Data4Good, Sydney, Australia

Through the non-profit Data4Good, I volunteered for Metro Assist, an organisation that provides a range of community services across Sydney. My role was to set up Power BI dashboards that visualised data for 15k+ clients, providing outputs which helped the organisation while maintaining confidentiality of personal information.

Physics PhD Candidate, Institut für Physik, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Germany

My PhD research centred on mathematical and computational modelling of novel magnetic objects (skyrmions) in nanoscale devices by use of micromagnetic simulations. Publications.

• Authored and published two international journal papers in Physical Review B (impact factor 3.9), resulting in over 50 citations, presenting research findings at international conferences.
• Conducted original research projects involving the development of micromagnetic simulation software for NVIDIA GPUs, using Python and CUDA/C++.
• Taught Statistical Physics and Quantum Mechanics problem sets to classes of up to 30 undergraduate students, for 3 semesters.
• Completed a 3 month secondment as an invited guest PhD researcher at Japan Atomic Energy Agency, Tokai, Japan. Delivered invited seminars on the topic of skyrmions in Tokyo and Sendai, and secured full funding from the German Physical Society for the secondment.
